On behalf of EUSEM, Said Hachimi-Idrissi, Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Ghent, Belgium and a European expert panel of advisors are developing European guidelines for the management of acute pain in emergency situations. To ensure the guidelines are relevant and appropriate to your clinical practice, access to resources etc, we would be very grateful if you could please complete this brief online survey. It should take no longer than 7 minutes to complete. Those questions with a star next to them require an answer. We would also like to request you provide us with any national, regional or local guidelines on the management of acute pain (if applicable) to ensure these European guidelines reflect the evidence and data currently available.

We recognise that the emergency care system (pre-hospital and emergency department) differs from country to country and in some cases from region to region. The aim of this survey is to better understand how pain is assessed and treated by the appropriate personnel. Please answer on behalf of your service rather than as an individual.
