1. INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the 2017/18 survey of the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector (VCSE) in South Gloucestershire. This should be completed by senior member of your organisation such as the chair, chief officer or manager.

CVS South Gloucestershire and its partners work together to support voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations in South Gloucestershire and to help build a strong sector in the area.

The results of the survey will:
• Highlight the value and significance of the VCSE sector through the publication of robust, evidence based information
• Help in funding negotiations
• Inform policy
• Identify gaps on provision
• Influence national policy

We will share a summary of the results with our partners but will not pass on detailed information about individual organisations. We will also use statistical information in reports to South Gloucestershire Council and other key members of the Local Strategic Partnership.

The local partners involved in this project are:
CVS South Gloucestershire
South Gloucestershire Council
The Care Forum
Southern Brooks Community Partnership
Volunteer Centre - Thornbury
Volunteer Centre - Yate

We are also working with members of the West of England Civil Society  Partnership to produce a West of England report of the VCSE:
The Care Forum
Voluntary Action - North Somerset
Voscur - Supporting Voluntary Action
West of England Rural Network (WERN)
The West of England Sport Trust WESPORT)

Please note that this survey is being conducted across the West of England and you may receive a request to complete it from more than one organisation.  Please complete it once only and accept our apologies for any inconvenience.
