Welcome to the 2017 EMTA Trainees' Survey

Annual surveys of trainees in Emergency Medicine are now in their third year.  The first, performed in July 2015 was completed by 575; in 2016 we reached 628 trainees across all grades of training.

This information drives what we do at EMTA, and the data yielded has proved extremely useful to RCEM, BMA, GMC and HEE in workforce planning and improving the working lives of trainees in the specialty.

There is still much to be done to make a career in Emergency Medicine everything we as trainees want it to be - please take some time to help shape the profession!

This survey aims to build on a foundation data set that can be reproduced in future to track the impact of different initiatives and changes on life in the speciality.
