Given the issues and themes in SDG2 are very interlinked - for example, how nutrition policy is interdependent with biodiversity; and how food systems interact with agriculture - there is a desire among stakeholders to develop a communication narrative that sits above these issues. This ‘new lens’ narrative can serve to complement the current mission towards Zero Hunger, further creating the enabling environment needed to allow diverse stakeholders to collaborate constructively and develop impactful, long-term solutions while striving towards sustainable economic growth through agriculture-led development initiatives and policies.

The SDG2 Advocacy Hub network will be looking at this new narrative approach through a global consultation beginning with this survey. The narrative will serve as a framework for highlighting messaging over 2020 as well as work alongside partner’s own narratives, laying the foundation for the next decade of action on SDG2 and within the other broader SDGs.

This new narrative, however,  requires your participation. We would appreciate if you could take  a few minutes to answer the following survey so that we can include your input into the narrative development.

Some background before you start:

What is a narrative?

A narrative is a story. It is a tool in our communications toolbox and is the foundation of all communications. It helps us make our case in a simple and clear way so we can build understanding with core audiences and meet our objectives.

What is a narrative not?

A narrative/story is a communications tool. It does not, and should not, explain all aspects of SDG2. It cannot include all facets of SDG2, it is a story that sits above the complexity.

The survey consists of 8 short questions.
