What is Section 11?
Section 11 was issued under the Children Act (2004) and has been reinforced in Working Together to Safeguard Children 2015. Section 11 places duties on a range of organisations and individuals to ensure their functions, and any services that they contract out to others, are discharged having regard to the need to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
Legislation sets out a number of standards agencies must meet to ensure they are compliant with this section of the act, some of these standards require organisations to provide clear guidance and  training to staff and volunteers who work with  children, or their families. LSCB is seeking through this brief survey to review safeguarding standards across the partnership.
