Thank you for your interest in joining Team LPO at the Virgin Money London Marathon on 23 April 2017.

The London Philharmonic Orchestra’s Education & Community programme reaches over 30,000 people each year, with work in schools and community settings in the boroughs of Greenwich, Southwark, Lewisham, Lambeth and further afield. For over 13 years the Orchestra’s specially designed schools concerts, Brightsparks, have given young people the opportunity to have their first encounter with a full strength symphony orchestra in the Royal Festival Hall. Each concert is tailored to a specific Key Stage within the National Curriculum and is supported by teacher training opportunities and other resources.

All money raised will help to enable over 12,000 young people from our South London communities and beyond to attend one of our live schools concerts. Every £9 raised enables one child to attend a concert. The individual fundraising target of £2,000 will provide funding for 7 classes.
