Voluntary Sector Survey

Redbridge Children and Young People’s Mental Health Services are changing. This is likely to lead to a new single point of access to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) service, which will be a new wellbeing hub which will aim to consolidate expertise and ensure GPs and other professionals know precisely where to refer their young patients. This Transformation is supported by new national level funding available to Redbridge for 5 years from 2016-2021.

As part of this work, the Redbridge CAMHS transformation team are keen to know more about current services provided in the voluntary sector that work with children and young people to improve their mental wellbeing. This might be through the direct delivery of services to children and young people experiencing mental health issues, or via other work that supports the wellbeing of children and young people more generally – thereby preventing mental health issues from developing or escalating.

We are, therefore, circulating a very brief questionnaire and would be delighted if local voluntary sector groups that undertake relevant work (regardless of whether or not this work is currently funded by LBR or the NHS) can complete it by Monday 8 August.

This information will be used to help the CAMHS Transformation team to work more effectively in future in partnership with the voluntary sector.

Thank you. The information provided will be collated by RedbridgeCVS and Redbridge Children and Young People’s Network and will be shared with CAMHS Transformation team. We will keep you informed about the proposed Transformation and avenues of getting involved in the plans.
