1. About the event

The Midlands Engine initiative aims to boost economic growth across the Midlands including through enhanced trade and investment.

The Department for International Trade will return to the Rail Vehicles and Enhancements (RVE) exhibition with a much anticipated 'Meet the buyer' event.  This year's edition brings 8 very different buying organisations and provides the UK rail supply chain the opportunity to present their products and services. The 8 buyers at this years event are:

  • Alstom
  • Eurostar
  • Hitachi
  • MTR Tech (Sweden)
  • SBB (Switzerland)
  • Siemens
  • ÖBB
  • CAF

The 'Meet the buyer' event registration has a simple 2 step process:

Step 1:  Complete this online registration form, detailing your company details and indicate which of the 8 buyers you would like to meet.
Step 2: Once your registration form has been submitted you will receive an email within 48 hrs with details on how to complete a short online application form for each of the buyers you have selected to meet. Each application should be specific to the buyer, with details of your company offer for consideration.  This application form will then be submitted to the buyer and based on the information you have provided, they will decide if they would like to book an appointment with you. (We advise you to please spend some time to develop bespoke offers for each of the buyers)
The deadline for buyer applications to be submitted is Friday 25 August 2017.
