Heating Installer Survey

Significant changes are coming to the UK heat market that will affect thousands of installers and heating engineers. To tackle climate change, the UK has a legal duty to be completely carbon free by 2050. That means the fossil fuel gas, oil and coal currently used to heat our buildings will need to be replaced with low carbon fuels or technologies. With around 40 million buildings to decarbonise, change needs to begin right away, with major changes occurring throughout the 2020s.

It is vital that change happens in a way and at a pace that work for businesses in the UK. There are thousands of businesses, employing well over 100,000 people, currently installing fossil fuel heating that will be affected by this change. This survey gives a voice to installers, plumbers and heating engineers to ensure Government understands and listens to the opportunities and risks that face installers in the transition to low carbon heating.

Privacy notice
Data collected through this survey will be shared with the UK Government to enable them to listen to the needs and views of heating installers. No personal information such as names, addresses, etc is requested. Data will be used to inform policy decisions, which will be published for further consultation in due course. Any published data will be aggregated and any identifying data will be anonymised or removed.
