Housing White Paper

The Housing White paper and supporting documents set out the government's plans to reform the housing market and boost the supply of new homes in England.  The white paper “Fixing our broken housing market” sets out a broad range of reforms that government plans to introduce to help reform the housing market and increase the supply of new homes.

Civic Voice, as the authoritative voice for the civic movement is holding this consultation on selected elements of the Housing White paper to inform a national civic movement response.

Civic Voice is seeking your views on the following sections of the White Paper:

Proposals from Chapter 1:

- Making plans easier to produce
- Assessing housing requirements
- Making enough land available in the right places
- Improving local authorities' role in land assembly and disposal
- Green Belt land
- Strengthening neighbourhood planning and design

Sustainable development and the environment:

- Sustainable development

We would be grateful if you could respond by 11:45pm on 12 April 2017 to give us time to share with our Expert Panel and submit the full results to the official consultation.
