Welcome to the Music Memory Box survey.

While caring for a loved one with dementia, designer Chloe Meineck spent a long time looking for products that might be able to help reduce these symptoms. Finding that there was a lack of specialized products, she decided to create her own.

Music Memory Box is a personalised, multi-sensory tool for reminiscing. It is essentially a keepsake box, which makes use of RFID technology to allow users to attach pieces of music to individual objects via a small sticker. Placing different objects in the centre of the box will trigger different songs or sounds that relate to the user’s past.

Music Memory Box has been developed in response to peer reviewed research demonstrating the therapeutic benefits of connecting sound to memory. This personal product amplifies this benefit by allowing users to create their own, customised, multi-sensory memory boxes, capturing, triggering and sharing connections that might otherwise be lost. A powerful and meaningful impact for individuals, families and the care teams working with those living with dementia.

Our website is in the process of being rebuilt so we do not currently have a go-to info page for Music Memory Box. If you would like to find out more about the product, here is a great article by carehome.co.uk

This questionnaire is designed to gather feedback from the experts - that is, people living with dementia and those who are close to them. All of your input will help us with the next stage of the product’s development.

Comments may be quoted in in our future marketing material, if you would rather we keep yours confidential, please specify in the final comments section.

Thank you so much for your time and invaluable feedback,

Chloe Meineck, Designer and Inventor of Music Memory Box
