Nominations for the fourth edition of the Leading Women Awards are officially open!

The Awards will recognize outstanding female business leaders within WBCSD's member companies for their achievements in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

In recognition of the special circumstances of 2020, we are opening a new category to businesses worldwide, to recognize women who have demonstrated exemplary leadership during the COVID-19 crisis.

The public announcement of the recipients 2020 will take place at the WBCSD Liaison Delegates meeting in Montreux (April 2021).

The Awards are sponsored by Griffith Foods

This year, nominations are accepted for the following two categories:

1. Excellence - Recognizing a female leader for her sustained and outstanding contribution to advancing sustainability in her company

Women who are inspirational role models with 15 or more years of experience
Only female employees of WBCSD member companies

2. Exemplary leadership during the COVID-19 crisis - recognizing women from businesses all over the world who are leading with passion and impact during the COVID-19 crisis

General eligibility requirements:

Companies can submit more than one nomination, per category. For the “Excellence” category, only nominations from WBCSD member companies with full membership (not partners or project members)
WBCSD encourages nominations from all over the world and from departments/functions outside the core sustainability functions (incl. logistics, procurement etc.)
WBCSD Liaison Delegates and Council Members can be nominated
Previous Leading Women Awards recipients cannot be nominated again

The nomination(s) should be approved by the companies' Council Member or Liaison Delegate (for WBCSD member companies) or by a representative of the nominating company (for companies worldwide). The deadline has been extended to Wednesday 14th October (midnight), please complete all nominations by this date.
