Neurology Engagement Survey
The NHS, Social Care and provider organisations are committed to ensuring local people access north east Essex have access to quality health and social care services that meet local needs while providing value for money. Recently North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group held the Big Care Debate 2 in which we sought views and feedback from local people across Colchester and Tendring about how services could be improved as well as access to these services. A number of people told us that some services were challenging to access and when they were scheduled to see a healthcare professional, their wait for an appointment was very lengthy.
The North East Essex CCG is reviewing services that this may relate to and one of the priority areas is Neurology. We recognise this is an area that we could make a real positive impact on patient lives and their ability to self-manage and care. We want to ensure patients and providers make the most of the time they have together during their appointment.
We would like to hear patients’ and carers' experiences of using services across Colchester and Tendring, including services at Colchester Hospital, as well as feedback from charitable groups, providers and commissioners on how and whether they think access to these services could be further improved.
