RHS Green Plan It - Application to be a Volunteer Mentor

The RHS Green Plan It challenge aims to inspire young people to think about horticulture in different ways, build their skills and gain insight into potential careers. The role of the Team Mentor is really important for the pupils and the project. Your own horticultural experience, career pathway, as well as your knowledge of working in the industry, will provide the students with invaluable insight.

The Green Plan It Challenge takes place across regional hubs in the autumn school term, between September and December 2016.

We ask that volunteer mentors attend both the launch and celebration days and commit to a minimum of 1 hour per week for the duration of the project. This can include travel to and from your group’s school, school visits, skype/phone calls, and appropriate programme evaluation.
