This survey is for all women who are pregnant or have given birth, about TENS machines and their use in labour. A TENS machine is a method of pain relief that uses a mild electrical current sent through pads attached to the skin to reduce the pain signals going to the spinal cord and brain, and help relieve pain and relax muscles.

Your answers will be used anonymously to improve maternity services at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. The survey is being run by Reading Maternity Voices, an independent NHS body run by service user representatives that works with the RBH to improve local maternity care and services, on behalf of a hospital midwife.
