Making Rushcliffe Better

Your local area receives services from Nottinghamshire County Council (including highways, education and social services), Rushcliffe Borough Council (such as planning, refuse collection and street cleaning), your local parish council (if you have one) and numerous voluntary and community bodies. Rushcliffe Borough Council is responsible for a large number of services, including the collection of council tax and business rates, and your grey and blue bins (and green if you have one). They also administer council tax and housing benefit, manage elections, and provide planning advice and consent. As well as keeping the streets clean and children’s’ play areas safe, they provide accommodation for the homeless and maintain sports pitches and leisure centres to help you stay fit and healthy.
