Runnymede Borough Council is due to launch a new Corporate Business Plan for 2020-2024 in Spring 2020.

While it is not clear how the Government's Fair Funding Review and changes to the Business Rates system will change Government funding in the future, the Council has been preparing for significant falls in government grants by generating sustainable income through:

  - A Regeneration and Property Investment Strategy
  - Making efficiencies e.g. reduced costs through new contracts, shared services and automating processes.
  - Expanding our services to create additional income streams, e.g. CCTV, community transport, “Meals at Home”, etc.

As a result, we have not had to stop delivering any of our services, discretionary or statutory during this period.

We are mindful that we will still need an ability to be flexible so that we can react to challenges as they occur, both with ourselves and our partners.

We will continue to punch above our weight to support the Borough. To help us set the direction and draw up priorities for the next four years we would like to ask your views.  As a thank you we will randomly select one responder from the surveys to receive £100 of One4all multi-store gift vouchers which can be accepted by thousands of shops and over 130 high street brands . Terms and conditions for the prize draws can be found at https://www.runnymede.gov.uk/article/18763/Your-opinions-will-help-Council-set-future-direction
