Last week the Government announced a Sport Winter Recovery Fund for specatator sports severely impacted by coronavirus restrictions.
The funding, which will be largely composed of loans, will focus on sports severely impacted over the winter period due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Unfortunately, our sports were not included in the first round of this as it was focused on the biggest losses faced by major spectator sports.
We know that hundreds of our clubs have lost valuable income from own events being cancelled since March. We are now urgently requesting some preliminary information from you to support our dicussions with DCMS and Sport England in lobbying for inclusion in the Sport Winter Recovery Fund.
