Question Title

* 1. We are seeking your views on rent increase options of:
  • 2.0%            This will result in a £100,000 reduction in income per annum for next and each subsequent year.  If we increase our rent by this amount, we will apply our current maintenance programme and key housing priorities.
  • 2.5%         This is the increase that was used for our Business Planning assumptions and will allow us to provide the Planned Investment to our properties including our investment to meet our energy efficiency standards (EESSH) and increased fire safety
  • 3.0%.      This will result in an increase of £100,000 income per annum for next and subsequent years which will enable us to bring forward our planned programme of works, for example we propose to undertake a replacement fencing programme.
Please tell us your views on the three proposals:

Question Title

* 2. Which option would be affordable for you, and could you explain why?

Question Title

* 3. Service charge costs

Service charges are based on estimated costs for the coming year and the difference between the estimated charge in 2019/20 and the actual costs incurred.

We provide a wide range of services dependent on the property type and location. Some costs have increased whilst others have decreased, and specific variations cannot be included in this consultation.

Any comments received on the value for money for the services provided are welcome. Service charge costs will change every year and if your costs decrease this year, they may still increase next year. Service charges cover the actual cost of delivering certain services (see more detail on what your service charges cover in the attached newsletter).

Do you have any comments you would like to make about service charges? Please note that your comments & views will be considered by the Board before a final decision is taken.
