Hello and thank you for visiting our survey! We are the Hyperhidrosis Priority Setting Partnership, which is a collaboration between De Montfort University Leicester, the James Lind Alliance and the UK Dermatology Clinical Trials Network.

A few months ago we ran our first survey asking people with hyperhidrosis, their carers and healthcare professionals what questions about treatment and management of hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) that they would like research to answer.

We had 312 respondents, who submitted 605 research questions!

Following on from this, our steering group committee grouped together similar questions and summarised the wording. We also checked the list of questions against research already conducted and removed any where the answers are already known. This left us with a list of 45 questions.

We  are now asking you to help us to shorten this list by choosing the research questions which are most important to you.

What we are asking you to do?
We need you to choose up to ten questions that matter the most to you from our list of 45 questions.  On the first page you can select all that you think are of interest to you, and on the second page you will be asked to reduce your choices to 10 or fewer.

Why are we doing this?
We want to give you a louder voice in research. People living with hyperhidrosis, the people who care for them and the healthcare professionals who treat them know the issues that affect them the most. We want to ensure that research addresses these issues and will potentially have the greatest impact.

Who should complete this survey?
Please fill this in if you are a person with hyperhidrosis, if you are a family member, friend or colleague of someone with hyperhidrosis, or if you work with hyperhidrosis patients.

What will happen next?
After this survey closes we will analyse the results and select the 25 - 30 most popular answers. Next we will hold a workshop event in November where around 30 patients, carers and healthcare professionals will get together to reduce this list further to the top ten research priorities. At the end of the survey there will be brief details about this event and you will have the opportunity to say if you are interested in attending and would like more information about it.

Keeping your information secure

This is an anonymous survey but we will ask for a little information about you. This is so we can
understand who is responding and ensure we're reaching as broad a range of people as possible. We will also ask if you would like to be involved in our final workshop event and if so, you will need to provide an email address so we can contact you. However, we won’t be able to identify you in any of the survey results, and we will keep the information you give us secure.

This survey should only take a few minutes to complete.
