Veteran Trees
Through a new project we hope to run called `Veteran Trees`, we intend to offer Veterans a unique outdoor programme of therapeutic, educational woodland retreats in private woodland located between Canterbury & Faversham in Kent - our website gives you a flavour of our woodland camp.
It is intended the project will run over 2 years with a rotation of 4 programmes running over 6 months each. Veterans who sign up to the programme will visit once per month, with a mix of campovers and day-long retreats at our woodland. We hope to enable participants to become more perceptive to nature, encouraging each individual to utilize the calm created by the woodland space, taking this back to their everyday life. Each programme will have a small group of 10 Veterans returning each month for the duration of the programme and is fully catered with wholesome food cooked over the camp fire.

Veteran Trees will focus on a range of nature based activities and experiences including wilderness living skills, green woodworking with the use of traditional hand tools, archery, campfire cooking, camp craft, woodland management and flora/fauna identification whilst enjoying the relaxed woodland space, good conversation, good food and good coffee with other like minded Veterans.
With this information in mind, we invite you to take part in a survey that will assist us to assess the need in Kent for such an outdoor programme. The responses from the Veteran community will give us an indication of whether we need to be putting on more programmes! Thank you for your contribution and please do forward this survey to your Veteran friends and colleagues - thank you.
The closing date for this survey is Saturday 29th February 2020.
Regards,
Clair & Scott
