Vision for the Future of The Sambrook Centre

Working in partnership, Stirchley and Brookside Parish Council and Telford and Wrekin Council have agreed a plan which secures the future of The Sambrook Centre for the community.

Over the last three years the centre has developed into a thriving community centre. The Parish Council office is located in the building along with FAIRshare Credit Union a coffee bar, public use computers, a Citizens Advice Bureau drop in session and the library service. There are rooms for community groups to hire; activities which take place include; arts groups, crafting, walking groups meet, short mat bowls and games groups.

Our vision is to continue to develop The Sambrook Centre to deliver services for all our residents;however there is work to be done! The building desperately needs a new roof, boiler and heating and electrical services. To fund this work the Parish Council will need to apply for a Public Works Loan, a Government scheme which makes funds available at very low cost interest rates.
