Course: Country of Origin Workshop with Asylos and ARC Foundation

This workshop is intended for staff and volunteers from our partner organisations who work with refugees and asylum seekers, and who may support them during their initial asylum application or with further submissions on a fresh claim.

This workshop will explain what Country of Origin Information (COI) is and how it can be used to support an asylum seeker’s claim.  It will help you to:
  • Frame research questions for yourself and for others
  • Carry out research to identify sources of COI that address these questions
  • Assess the reliability and accuracy of a source of COI
  • Present COI to decision makers, adhering to principles of neutrality
