Culduthel Woods : Community Consultation

Culduthel Woods are currently well used by the local community and very popular as a shortcut, a leafy backdrop to neighbouring houses, a place to walk the dog and also as inspiration for outdoor learning. However, the woods appear to be rather neglected and are not currently owned or managed by anyone.

Culduthel Woods Group was formed in July 2018 to

    a) clarify the current ownership
    b) consult with the community and other public agencies regarding     management of the woodland
c)develop and support plans for managing the woods

This survey, supported by Forestry Commission Scotland, will form part of the community consultation - in completing it you will help Culduthel Woods Group decide how best to move forward. We can be contacted at and find out more on our blog at

We will also hold a drop-in event on Saturday 16th February in the Scout Hall, Green Drive IV2 4EU at which you can learn more and provide input to  Culduthel Woods Group committee members.
All members of the community are welcome to drop in.
