Hackney Council want to understand more about the character of business activity within Hackney and the value of creative industries, cultural, community and third-sector organisations both to the local economy and the wider community. They are particularly interested in the performance and views of local businesses using managed workspace to help inform future workspace policy.
The council have appointed Hatch Regeneris and We Made That to help gather this information. We have developed a short business questionnaire gather the information that we need.
The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete and can be completed by the proprietor or a senior staff member. It is made up of 5 sections:
1. About Yourself: some simple questions to help measure social value
2. About Your Business/Organisation: understanding your current business activity and performance
3. Workspace: gaining a sense of the suitability of your current workspace
4. Community Links: understanding your links with the local community to help measure social value
5. Looking Ahead: exploring the future aspirations of your business
The findings will also be used to help the council make decisions about where development occurs in the borough over the next 15 years, and how creative industries, cultural, community and third-sector organisations are incorporated into these plans.
