The Pharmaceutical Society NI, in applying principles of good regulatory practise, is undertaking its annual equality monitoring of the Register of Pharmacists in Northern Ireland.

We use this information to carry out Equality Screening and Equality Impact Assessments on new regulatory standards, guidance, and policies, which affect pharmacy professionals and the public in Northern Ireland. This helps us to ensure that they do not impose inappropriate barriers or otherwise disadvantage people with protected characteristics and to assess how the Register of Pharmacists reflects wider society. Completion of this survey is voluntary and is anonymous.

(This survey has been developed using guidance provided for public authorities by the Equality Commission of Northern Ireland in relation to Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998. The Pharmaceutical Society NI while not listed as a public authority under the Northern Ireland Act 1998, is committed to ensuring equality and diversity issues are appropriately considered and addressed in all our work).
