Employer-Led Career Learning An employee can help inspire and enrich students’ understanding of their career path by working alongside teachers to assist in the delivery of traditional career learning activities.

Employer-Led Curriculum Learning Employers help develop curriculum content, materials and resources related to their industry sector to help inspire students to gain a better understanding of their sector as a potential career choice.

Enterprise Activities Enterprise Education and projects are effective and help to increase students’ employability skills, enterprise capabilities and achieve a better awareness of business and economic understanding.

Enterprise Competitions Longer-term business competitions involving employers where groups of students develop and run a small Enterprise and fosters positive attitudes toward self-employment.

Mock Interviews An employee supports a one-to-one short mock interview to help prepare a student for the job application process. Sessions are planned by schools and supported by businesses and volunteers.

Work Experience Work experience is hugely beneficial to both employers and students. Students gain a crucial insight into the world of work. Placement duration can range from one day through to one/two weeks.

Work Related Learning Extended work experience in conjunction with traditional school activities. Planned by the school and employer, every curriculum subject can be linked to practical every day work related skills.

Work Shadowing A student shadows an employee to develop an understanding of their day-to-day role. Students experience first-hand what it entails to work in a certain position in your company.

Workplace Visits Students visit your workplace to understand the business and experience a working environment. Visits highlight relationships between subjects and career paths which motivate students to make the correct subject choices.

Volunteering If your organisation has an Employee Volunteer Programme which supports local community projects, would you be interested in looking at projects where student volunteers could jointly support?

Special Educational Needs Local SEND schools (Special Educational Needs and Disability) and APCs (Alternative Provision Colleges) seek support with many of the above activities.
