Services Under Review By Conwy County Borough Council

Conwy County Borough Council have recently announced that, due to a £12.5 million shortfall in their 2020/2021 budget, they will be making significant cuts to their services.

In Penmaenmawr the County Council are considering:

i) Introducing Pay & Display machines in Fernbrook Road Car Park and disposing of Station Rd Car Park.

ii) Not maintaining any of Penmaenmawr children’s playgrounds.

iii) Not maintaining or servicing the promenade paddling pool.

iv) Reducing the level of support to Penmaenmawr Library which will reduce opening hours.

v) The closure of four public toilets in and around the town including;
     - The promenade (near the underpass)
     - The promenade (adjacent the Sailing Club)
     - Fernbrook Road Car Park (adjacent the Library)
     - Fairy Glen

vi) Reducing the amount of CCTV Monitoring
