Being discharged from mental health hospital – share your experiences

We are planning to do some campaigning work around discharge from hospital, to make sure people get the right support following a mental health crisis. Whether you were in hospital under section or as a voluntary patient, and whether you had a positive or a negative experience, we want to hear from you.

If you have several experiences of being in hospital, please tell us about your most recent experience. For this survey we’re focusing on inpatient stays, not treatment in A&E.

Why are we doing this survey?
We know that excellent crisis care exists. But we need it available everywhere, for everyone.

Right now we’re gathering information about people’s experiences of being discharged from hospital and we will be using the evidence to campaign for change and raise awareness in the media.

We need as many responses as possible to provide the most useful information to the media, MPs and health professionals. Please take a few minutes to tell us about your experiences and spread the word to others who might be able to help us.

This survey should take about 10-15 minutes to complete. It's ok if you don't remember all the details of your experience - please just tell us what you can.

We will keep your data in line with Mind's privacy policy.

Thank you.
