The Citizenship Foundation is an independent education charity that works within formal and informal education setting to support better Citizenship education. We believe in the importance of preparing the next generation of young citizens to have the knowledge, skills and confidence to play a full and active part in society.

Society is a reflection of what we put in to education. Citizenship education supports a thriving democracy whereby its citizens understand how they can shape the future and are empowered to make a difference for the collective good.

Beyond Citizenship education our expertise extends to SMSC and community cohesion. Since we were formed in 1989 we have trained and/or resourced 80% of secondary and 50% of primary schools.
