Integrated Care System (ICS) Board/Voluntary Community & Social Enterprise (VCSE) Proposal

Voluntary sector partners currently have the opportunity to influence and design a proposal to the new Integrated Care Service Board on how the VCSE sector across Devon, Plymouth and Torbay can be engaged in the leadership of the new service.

A series of workshops is being planned, facilitated by NHSE and NAVCA which will provide opportunities to discuss VCSE leadership involvement in the new governance structure. VCSE reps across the county have been invited along with Jane Milligan, the CEO of the ICS. There are several models already being used by other ICS’ in the country with the most popular being the emergence of a VCSE Assembly.

This could be a group of key VCSE leaders that meets regularly and forward a person(s) for the ICS Board meeting each month and also ensures that the wider sector is kept informed of key issues and opportunities that derive from those meetings. The Assembly will also advise the ICS of priorities and concerns for the VCSE that might have an effect on the wider ICS partnership e.g. staff recruitment and retention, etc.

The Devon Recovery Co-ordination Group VCSE sub-group invite you to influence the evolving VCSE offer to the emerging ICS Board. We would be most grateful if you could take a few minutes to answer the following questions.
