Unlocking the economic benefits to Peebles trades of improved energy performance work in buildings - a local consultation
10 minute survey for trades in Peebles area engaged in or interested in energy efficiency work
Are you a builder, joiner, heating engineer, architect, surveyor etc. based in Peebles?
Are you engaged in, or interested in engaging in the installation of energy efficiency measures in buildings?
If so, please kindly take the opportunity to fill out this short survey to have your voice heard. It will take no longer than 10 minutes.
In the following, the term "energy performance work" refers to anything that raises the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) energy rating of a building to C or better - a key government policy. Overall, it is estimated that the value of building upgrades related to energy performance improvement for the Peebles area alone could be worth £15 million. The Government and Scottish Borders Council are keen to see more of the economic benefits of this work being captured locally.
Through the “Change Works in Peebles” project Peebles is being used as one of a small number of pilots to identify how best to remove obstacles to benefits for local trades of energy performance improvement work on buildings.
Please submit the completed survey as soon as possible but no later than Sunday 3rd February. Those completing the survey will be entered into a draw for a prize of a £30 voucher for Scott Bros.
The results will be discussed in an open forum that respondents will be invited to on the 5th February, 4-6 pm at Saint Joseph's Neighbourhood Centre, Peebles.
