The Press Recognition Panel (PRP) has launched a public consultation on its proposals for reviewing approved regulators.

The Charter requires us to review approved regulators to ensure they continue to meet the Charter’s recognition criteria. A cyclical review must be carried out as soon as reasonably practicable two years after a regulator has been recognised and three yearly thereafter. The Charter also requires us to undertake ad hoc reviews in exceptional circumstances and where there is a significant public interest in undertaking a review.

Your response to this consultation will help shape our final proposals for conducting cyclical and ad hoc reviews of approved regulators.

The consultation will run for eight weeks from Tuesday 16 February 2016 to Monday 11 April 2016.
You can also respond over the phone by calling 020 3443 7070.
If you would like to make your submission to us in person, you can arrange a face-to-face meeting by calling 020 3443 7070.
