Community consultation by Making Lewes regarding the Turkish Baths building in Lewes

The Turkish Baths building on Friars Walk in Lewes, until recently a print works, is currently vacant and its future use is being considered by Lewes District Council. We are a community group called Making Lewes and our suggestion is to create an inclusive "Makerspace", dedicated to crafts, architecture, design and arts. The building could be a creative hub hosting workshops, talks, seminars, exhibitions and workshop facilities for individuals or groups.

* 1. Do you think Lewes would benefit from a community Makerspace?

* 2. Would you be interested in using this facility?

* 3. What types of equipment or facilities would you like to see provided?

* 4. Would you be interested in leading a workshop/seminar or holding an exhibition in this space?

* 5. Are there parts of the community or age groups that you feel should be prioritised in this proposal?

* 6. Do you have any alternative proposals on how the Turkish Baths could be used?

* 7. Are you male or female?

* 8. What is your age?

* 9. Where do you live?

* 10. Are you involved in the arts, craft, architecture or design?
