Organised by Respect Our Ancestors

Do you have family or friends buried in one of Southwark’s three cemeteries?

This quick one page survey is to find people with family or friends buried in Southwark's cemeteries.

Southwark Council is removing memorials, mounding over tens of thousands of public graves and then digging up all private graves over 75 years old at Camberwell Old and New Cemeteries, cutting down hundreds of trees across 12 acres of woods in the process - for the sake of ‘new’ inner city burial.

Respect Our Ancestors is a group of people who have family buried in Camberwell Old and New Cemeteries. We have never been consulted by Southwark Council. We want our ancestors to rest in peace.

Friends of Camberwell Cemeteries are managing the survey and will contact you with updates.

Just fill out as much as you can. Don’t worry if you don’t know all the details.

Please leave your name and email at the end so we can contact you.
