Volunteering During Covid-19: Current Issues and Learning for Recovery, 2 - 4pm, 30 September 2021

FREE Peer Learning workshop:  Volunteering During Covid-19:  Current Issues and Learning for Recovery

Thursday 30th September 2021, 2pm – 4pm, FREE on Zoom

This practical Peer Learning session will look at the findings of recent research conducted by the University of Kent and NCVO with 129 volunteer involving organisations in England in 2021.  The research provides a snapshot of the current challenges and opportunities faced, and includes reflections on how to support volunteering as we move towards recovery.

During the session you will consider the four main themes for recovery identified by the research, and discuss and share ideas and plans for addressing these with other local Volunteer Managers.  The themes are:

·       Bringing back volunteers

·       Sustaining the involvement of new volunteers

·       Volunteer diversity and inclusion

·       Collaboration and the importance of ‘local’
Venue: Zoom (the meeting link will be sent to you when your place is confirmed)

Cost: Our Peer Learning is kindly subsidised via a grant from the London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH).  VCTH is committed to providing Peer Learning free-of-charge during the pandemic.  However, we charge a £50 fee for late cancellations and no-shows to ensure that limited training places are not wasted.
