VCTH Peer Learning:  Volunteering During the Festive Season

With the festive season fast approaching and COVID-19 restrictions looking likely to continue, you might be considering how you can adapt your usual festive activities to take account of government guidelines.

This practical Peer Learning session will enable Volunteer Managers to share:

- Ideas on how volunteers can support and engage lonely service users over the festive period, including involving different types of volunteers such as corporate volunteers and individual volunteers.

- Ways of celebrating and thanking your volunteers for their contribution in 2020 and during the pandemic (e.g. alternatives to in-person parties)

- Seasonal/one-off roles that volunteers could undertake during the festive period

- Suggestions for supporting volunteers’ mental health during the festive season, as it can be a difficult time for many people
