We would be grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete 7 short questions on training in your workplace to help us develop modules to suit your needs.

Growing Workforces through Learning and Development (GWLAD) has work-based learning opportunities for organisations in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire and Swansea which is being supported by the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government.

GWLAD is being delivered by the University of Wales Trinity Saint David group through the Wales Institute of Work-based Learning. Our unique work-based provision is known as the Professional Practice Framework (PPF). The innovative framework allows individuals to gain a range of undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications, including:
  • Individual Modules
  • Certificate of Higher Education
  • Diploma of Higher Education
  • Foundation Degree
  • Postgraduate Certificate
  • Postgraduate Diploma
  • Masters
The aim of the PPF is to provide student-centred learning opportunities that are accessible, flexible and inclusive. Above all, it is intended to meet the needs of both employers and employees. In all cases, academic study is combined with workplace learning to equip learners with the relevant knowledge, understanding and skills to develop performance at work and gain an academic qualification. Each course examines a topic through a combination of teaching sessions, independent study and research to make a positive change to the workplace. Each qualification can be built up from a range of modules available through the PPF which can be tailored to your business needs.
