Why should I complete this questionnaire?

People who work in care make a huge difference to peoples lives every single day. By taking 15 minutes of your time to complete this questionnaire you can support care organisations across Pembrokeshire to help recruit new people to work in the caring profession as they seek to attract people who may not thought to have considered a career in social care, people who are not only kind and caring, but have the right attitude and values, for example patience, respect and teamwork.

What else can I do to help?

A career in social care is often overlooked or misunderstood by the general public. The West Wales Care Partnership are really keen to hear from social care professionals and any friends, family and neighbours who do not work in care or may be considering returning  to the sector, so we can understand how we can attract people to this valuable profession.
So in addition to completing this questionnaire yourself please share the online link with them, it will only take 5 minutes for your friends, family or neighbours to complete 3 or 4 questions.

If you require any support or have any queries regarding the completion of the survey, please contact Donna Thomas at donna.thomas@welv.co.uk

I work with a positive organisational culture, where I am supported and valued for my contribution.
My employer has a strong reputation for being a good employer which means that existing staff spread the word and attract like minded people, that 'fit' the organisations values to apply for our vacancies.
My employers approach to attracting and recruiting  staff is based on finding people with the right values and behaviours, as they see this is more important than finding staff who are already qualified or have a range of skills and experience.
In my organisation investing in staff should not be a tick box exercise, my manager is keen to find out what support I need and then explores the best ways of addressing it.
My employer feels that it's important to ensure that all staff understand and uphold the values of the organisation, by creating a positive and open environment where staff feel happy, can be themselves and grow and develop.
My employer maintains high levels of staff motivation by supporting staff development, tackling performance issues and developing a culture of shared ownership over successes.
