Nursery Questionnaire
Nursery Questionnaire
Due to the changes being introduced by the government in September 2017, Godstone Village School Nursery needs to carefully consider our nursery provision from that date.
We want to make sure we have the right provision for our community and we would like to understand the views of current and future parents as we make these important changes. Our nursery is taught by a qualified teacher and is an essential part of the Early Years Foundation Stage (the curriculum for younger children) and works alongside our Reception class.
What are the government changes?
“From September 2017 most working parents of 3 and 4 year olds will be eligible for an extra 15 hours of free childcare a week, term time. Added to their current universal entitlement of 15 hours, this means that their free early education entitlement will increase to a total of 30 hours a week, term time.
Who is eligible for +15 hours?
In a two parent family, both must work full or part-time and in a one parent family the sole parent must work full or part-time. Each parent must earn at least £107 per week (£5,574 per year) but less than £100,000 per year.”

Our proposals for Godstone Village School Nursery
We are proposing that children at Godstone Village School will be attending either:
· 30 hours – all day Monday to Friday (9am – 3pm)
· 15 hours – all day Monday (9am – 3pm), all day Tuesday plus Wednesday morning (9am – 12 noon)
· 15 hours – Wednesday afternoon (12 noon – 3pm), all day Thursday and all day Friday (9am – 3pm)
What do I need to do next?
We will be meeting with Surrey County Council’s Early Years Team shortly and your views will form an important part of our conversations with them. Your answers will only be used within our school and not shared with any third parties.
