* 1. How do you feel about the school/s changing category and acquiring (joining) a Partnership Trust?

NOTES:
Goat Lees Primary School is already a Foundation School and so would not change category but simply join the CARE Foundation Trust
Brabourne CE Primary School and Chilham CE Primary School are Voluntary Controlled CE schools will not change category and will therefore acquire full partnership status within the Trust.

* 2. How do you feel about the school working with the other CARE Foundation Trust partners and with other partners listed in the documentation: Canterbury Christchurch University, Canterbury Diocesan Board of Education, Ashford Chamber of Commerce, Ashford Borough Council, Kent County Council and the Co-operative Schools Network)

* 3. How do you feel about the vision?

Our vision is to achieve substantial and sustained improvement of standards across a dynamic learning community where all the pupils that we serve have their individual needs met.

We want to ensure that local schools remain accountable to local people; this will be the case for all schools in the trust. Irrespective of which school our young people attend, we see them as our shared responsibility

Across all our schools, we will focus on:
  • Improving  and sustaining the quality of learning and teaching
  • Improving the wellbeing and behaviour of our young people
  • Enhancing capacity by sharing resources and expertise
  • Improving value for money in a time of real terms reduction in funding
  • Supporting and developing current and future leaders
The key aims for our Trust are to:
  1. Develop outstanding teaching resulting in sustained high-quality outcomes for all our learners.
  2. Ensure that our education partnership includes working with the wider community.
  3. Harness the practical benefits of a wider working group
  4. Ensure the continued engagement of local people in the education of their children

* 4. We propose that the Trust would appoint the legal minimum of 2 governors to each consulting school’s Governing Board, thereby linking the Trust more closely to each of the governing boards involved and further strengthening these.

* 5. Do you have any other comments, concerns or suggestions about our proposals?
