Active Communities is a community-led organisation that develops and delivers fun, innovative programmes across Renfrewshire and the surrounding areas.

We have started the process of taking the Old Police Station in Johnston into community ownership and funds are in place for a phased renovation and extension. Plans would incorporate, amongst other things, a community hub which would rent office space to local organisations and businesses sensitive to the Active Communities Vision, and a training hub offering learning opportunities to local people.

Clearly the use of office space right across Scotland (and beyond) has significantly shifted in response to the Pandemic and the momentum towards working from home. Though there is still demand for space, the nature of that demand has changed and we need to make sure that our existing ideas and plans are appropriate once lockdown eases.

This survey is to better understand the nature of the demand for space in the Old Police Station from people who might be interested in woking in the building, both from a local and regional perspective, and also from groups who may travel for a unique away day experience.

All information gathered will be kept confidential. Paper copies of the survey can be obtained from Active Communities. The survey can also be accessed online at – www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Old-Police-Station
