STEAM DATA COLLECTION - 2022

Welcome to the STEAM Data collection survey for 2022 which monitors tourism performance across North Wales!

Thank you for choosing to complete your monthly STEAM return online. We have designed our survey form digitally to enable you to complete this with minimal effort.

You can exit the survey at anytime and return to it, where it will be saved on the most recent page you completed.

The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete and we would ask that you populate as much as possible to assist ourselves and fellow North Wales tourism colleagues understand more about our performance in this area.

We have continued to post out paper return forms to accommodation and attraction providers where an email address is unknown, however if you would still prefer to complete your return in this way, please let us know by contacting;

Vicky Mathie
Tourism Officer
Wrexham County Borough Council
Email: STEAM@wrexham.gov.uk

Please note that a STEAM Coordinator is available to offer support completing your return online.

For information - Wrexham County Borough Council will continue to coordinate STEAM data on behalf of Anglesey, Flintshire and Denbighshire throughout 2022. Gwynedd and Conwy coordinate their own STEAM data.

Of the 22 Local Authorities in Wales, 21 are signed up to collect STEAM data. All North Wales Authorities are currently working with STEAM.

Finally, what is STEAM?

STEAM is recognised, nationally and internationally, as a research programme which aims to measure the impact of tourism from both staying and day visitors in terms of tourist expenditure, employment, tourist numbers and days and finally traffic generated by tourists.

STEAM is owned by Global Tourism Solutions (UK) Ltd.

Thank you.
