The International Nano Olympiad (INO) is a collaborative international competition (to be held annually) among university level students which aims to improving motivation of the students towards gaining deeper knowledge of nanotechnology and acquiring skills for its innovative applications to real scientific and industrial problems.

The 1st nano Olympiad competition will be held in Tehran, Iran from 1-9th April 2018, preceeded by intensive online training and mentoring for the teams, who will submit a report on their topic (by 15th March 2018), related to the theme for this year which is Water and Sanitation.

The European Commission is holding a first round competition to determine the teams that will go forward to represent Europe.  Application must be made by 17th November 2017, by submitting your CV and a letter of motivation saying why you would like to participate.

Please indicate also if you are affiliated with an EU-funded nano project, or whether your university or institute would be willing to co-sponsor your participation (i.e. your flight costs to travel to Tehran, all local costs will be covered by the local hosts).

If you are applying with others as part of a team, please indicate this by ticking the box (and indicate the names of the team members, who also need to apply with their CVs and letters of motivation).

Good luck!
