Evidence gathering

Surveys have consistently shown that women and ethnic minorities in the sector are not reaching senior positions in the numbers that they should. This is not unique to the CLC regulated community of course.

The CLC wants to understand better the obstacles to career progression for those groups. We also want to hear of any successes firms have had in removing obstacles.

What you tell us will help the CLC develop a plan to support the firms we regulate to remove obstacles to career progress.

We are seeking the views of everyone in the sector. We are especially interested to hear from people in the disadvantaged groups. We hope that managers and owners of law firms will also share their own insight. Anyone working in a CLC-regulated firm many have insight to add.

This is an anonymous survey, but it will be very helpful if you could answer the few questions about you and your situation as these will help us to understand better the information you provide.

A lot of the questions are very open-ended and give you the chance to share whatever you can. Please be as open and frank as you feel able as this will help us most.
