Invitation to Participate

The 2017 UK Climate Change Risk Assessment (CCRA), identifies priority climate change risks and opportunities faced in NI.  The NI Government is required to develop a Northern Ireland Climate Change Adaptation Programme (NICCAP) to address the outlined risks. On behalf of the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA), Climate NI is developing a chapter for the NICCAP, which will outline how non-government organisations and individuals are addressing the risks identified in CCRA 2017.

This questionnaire aims to gather contributions from organisations and individuals whose work addresses risks to 'Natural Capital and Food Security/Global Food Production'. To support the development of the non-government chapter, we would like you to:
  • provide information for inclusion in the non-government chapter of the NICCAP (case studies and/or planned projects)
  • participate in two workshops over the five-year period of the programme (2019-2024).  The workshops will aim to bring together all contributors to each objective to share their progress, discuss future work and potential collaborations. Climate NI will prepare a report on non-government progress based on the content of each workshop.
  • optional - provide more detailed information on your case study/project for inclusion in the Climate NI NICCAP online platform. This will take place later in 2018.
Organisations and individuals will be provided the opportunity to review information on their respective case study/project included in the final chapter.

The following questionnaire will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
Thank-you
N.B. The information collected by Climate NI from this survey may be referred to by the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) and contribute to the Northern Ireland Climate Change Adaptation Programme (NICCAP). Furthermore, the information provided may be used in publications and outputs, including but not restricted to policy papers, organisational communications and presentations.

Climate NI will be contacting Individuals/organisations to review information on their respective case study/project if chosen to be included in the NICCAP. Please note that any e-mail addresses supplied by survey recipients will be used solely for correspondence associated with the development of the NICCAP and will only be kept by Climate NI in accordance with data protection legislation.
