1. Your Views Matter to us!

This survey is for women who have been affected by complex birth-related trauma, birth fear (tokophobia) or perinatal loss and those who know, work with or support any new or expectant mothers in this position.

The aim is to gather, value and include your voices in the design of services that would suit the needs of the communities served. It would be great if you could spare a few minutes to answer the questions posed in this survey. Your input is invaluable!

North West London Collaboration of Clinical Commissioning Groups is currently in the process of developing a maternal mental health service aimed at new and expectant mothers who have been affected by complex birth-related trauma and birth fear (tokophobia); and who cannot benefit from current care provisions.

This is a new service co-run by psychologists and midwives to support new and expectant mothers with pre-existing trauma; which is causing them to be afraid of giving birth or being examined, or with any traumatic experiences from pregnancy or giving birth. Women will be able to access support from both midwives and psychologists within the same service.

In doing so, representatives from Chelsea and Westminster Maternity Voices Partnership and Cocoon Family Support, have been commissioned to invite you (or anyone who knows or has worked with expectant or new mothers, who have experienced any of the above health issues) to share ideas about what effective and appropriate mental health services could look like.

Thank you in advance for your time and efforts! ❤️

Please note the survey will close on the 16th April 2021 at 9am.
