This survey is being conducted independently by researchers Caitlin Dean and Margaret O'Hara. Both researchers are trustees for Pregnancy Sickness Support and additionally represent their own websites, Spewing Mummy and Pregnancy Sickness SOS respectively. All responses are anonymous so nobody who takes part can be identified. If you take part you will be asked to indicate whether your words may be used in the publication. No money is paid for publication in academic journals so no profit will be made from your responses. This research is not funded and is being conducted voluntarily by the researchers with no financial gain.

The purpose of this survey is to explore which anti sickness medications used for Nausea and Vomiting in Pregnancy (NVP) and Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) women find most effective. The researchers, in conjunction with Pregnancy Sickness Support, will use the responses to this survey to publish a paper or report in an academic journal or via the Charity website. 

There is a lack of medical evidence for which medications are effective for NVP and HG as many of the Randomised Control Trials over the years have used outcome measures which we consider irrelevant to sufferers, such as re-admission rate. Also, because they all used different measures they can't be compared with each other. Our motivation is to build up a picture of the medications for NVP and HG which women themselves find effective so that we can encourage good practice and inform clinical decision making.

This survey is for women who have had at least one pregnancy in which they took medication for nausea and/or vomiting or HG. Women from anywhere in the world can take the survey and we have tried to include as many brand names as possible but some drugs may not be available or may have different names in different countries. If you are unsure about a drug name for your country just skip over it.

By continuing with the survey, your consent to take part is assumed. Please note that once you submit the survey you can not withdraw your data as it is collected anonymously. You can withdraw at any point during the survey by clicking out of the survey screen, no data is stored until you complete the survey.
