Hammersmith Hospital Booked Urgent Treatment Centre Patient Feedback

Introduction

Hammersmith Hospital Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) is once again treating patients but through a booked appointments system only. All referrals to the service will be via NHS 111.

Having temporarily closed the service in March 2020 because of the Coronavirus, Hammersmith and Fulham Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) was keen for a service to be reinstated for local people but in a way that keeps patients and staff safe.

As a temporary measure, since 1 October NHS 111 has been booking patients into the Hammersmith Hospital Booked Urgent Treatment Centre (HHBUTC) if this has been the most appropriate service for their need. This is within the opening hours of 9am and 7pm. NHS 111 is going through its usual assessment process to determine the most appropriate care, which might be seeking advice from a pharmacist, booking an appointment with a GP, attending the HHBUTC, attending the Charing Cross UTC or attending A&E. Patients eligible to be booked into the HHBUTC service will be offered an appointment on the same day if possible. For infection prevention control reasons, patients requiring an x-ray will be directed to the UTC at Charing Cross Hospital which remains fully functional.

We would like to hear your views on the service and your experiences if you have used it. Please fill out this short questionnaire which should take no more than five minutes to complete.
