The contribution Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations make to Health and Social Care
Exploring the VCSE sector contribution
From April 2022 there will be a new planning and delivery structure for Health and Social Care that will bring together Health, Local Authorities and the VCSE sector. This will be called the Integrated Care System (ICS). NHS England issued a design framework for this system in June 2021 that underlined the principles of collaboration and working closer to communities. It says that part of the core purpose of the ICS is to address health inequalities and that the VCSE sector should be a strategic partner that shapes, improves and delivers services. I'm working as the Programme Lead in Derbyshire for the VCSE Leadership Programme. This is a national initiative that looks to ensure that the sector is effectively involved in the new Integrated Care System.
VCSE organisations come in all sizes and undertake all sorts of activity and the benefits of its contribution have been highlighted during the pandemic. This survey is designed to capture good practice and the positive contribution that VCSE groups make to help raise awareness amongst other partners. It also looks to identify what makes partnership work and how you see joint working at the moment. Individual responses will only be seen by me and a fellow consultant, Jo Grant who is gathering feedback. Individual content will not be shared although we would like to use any examples of good practice including partnership working. If you would rather we didn't, please indicate this in the comments box at the end of the survey.
I know that you get lots of surveys but please take a few minutes to complete this one and return by Tuesday 31st August so that we can promote the full contribution that the sector is making.
